Joe, and Colby’s first encounter occurred through the Washington DC Capital City Blues Official Support Club. (to which we are no longer apart of and for good reason) City announced their summer tour in America in 2022, including a stop in Green Bay to watch the Boys in Blue play. Despite never having met in person, they bonded over the comment section in anticipation of the match.
In Green Bay, they enjoyed the City Support Club events, including meeting Pablo Zabaletta and Jolene Lescott at the pre-match party, free Asahi beer and merch, and even wet wipes from the Dude Wipe girls. Walking into Lambeau Field, surrounded by fellow OSC members, they were awestruck by the experience and the rhythmic City chants echoing through the corridors. The rain and weather delays couldn't dampen the atmosphere, and it was on this day that The Snobby Boys were born. It was more than just a love for the game that brought them together in what felt like divine intervention.

Growing up in the 90s-2000s in America, soccer often languished in the shadows of other sports, relegated to the fringes of American culture. Especially in rural areas, the beautiful game struggled to gain a foothold, with travel and clubs costs acting as a barrier for many aspiring players. In the past and present day America, soccer is largely the domain of the privileged, with club fees and other expenses creating a high barrier to entry for those with limited means. Toppled with limited viewing access to see matches abroad in the biggest leagues. This stands in stark contrast to the sport's birthplace, where it is accessible to all and the cream of the crop rise to the top. Could this be why we rarely see American players plying their trade abroad? And why the MLS struggles to reach the heights of other leagues around the world?
In a nod to those who have been excluded due to financial constraints and societal barriers, this duo of dudes have taken matters into their own hands, giving the proverbial bird to the gatekeepers and dubbing themselves
The Snobby Boys.
Though the name may seem ironic, it represents a statement of defiance against a system that too often shuts out those who do not fit a certain mold.

“JOE CHILL”
Analyst, Co-Producer/Co-Host, Soccer Dad, Coach, and resident of the DMV (DC/MD/VA) area.
His passion for Manchester City started in 2010 after the World Cup, when he took notice of David Silva and Sergio Aguero. After playing with City on FIFA and becoming more familiar with the game, his favourite player signed with the club, cementing his choice to support City. Having grown up wearing the iconic "Carolina Blue" of UNC, it felt like the right decision, and he has been a fan ever since.
When asked about his favourite City moment, Joe was quick to mention Kun Aguero's final game with City, where he scored a brace. Just like many other fans, Joe admits he "cried like a little girl" that day.

Originally from Pittsburgh, Colby's like for soccer sparked during the 1998 World Cup. However, after relocating to Virginia. The next 18 years American football would be his main focus and connection to his hometown.
When COVID-19 hit in 2020, Colby decided to give the game another chance. He spent the 2020-2021 season playing FIFA and watching matches to learn the sport from different perspectives - that of the player, coach, and front office. Through this, he gained a deeper appreciation for the sport and its intricate workings, observing the various formations and tactics employed by teams across different leagues.
During this time, Colby remained neutral and didn't support a specific team. However, after watching Sergio Aguero's last goals with Manchester City, he found himself drawn to the Sky Blue. The feeling of joy and familiarity that comes with Sunday afternoon victories sealed the deal, and Colby has been a dedicated City fan ever since.
